- Bonnie Washuk photo. Walton Elementary School students gathered around the flag pole Wednesday morning to honor first responders, remember 9-11 victims, and to pledge to do good deeds. The students are led by principal Mike Davis, wearing a patriotic tie and shirt. After the ceremony students walked up to Auburn firefighters Lt. Douglas Ball and Pvt. Keith Saunders and thanked them for serving.
