WILTON — The next meeting of the Wilton Senior Citizens will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, at SeniorsPlus. The program will be announced. The March 26 meeting featured Shannon Smith, coordinator for Wilton’s Bicentennial in conjunction with the Blueberry Festival on Aug. 1 and 2.
New plans for the festival, that she discussed, include no parking on Main Street on Saturday. A shuttle service will be available from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. More than 50 Shriner units will attend. There will be a loon sale with each loon painted with its own personality and that Key Bank will display items for sale prior to the festival.
Auction, bake sale
WILTON — Wilton Early Childhood Center will host its annual auction and bake sale Friday, April 4, at the Cushing School. Items may be viewed starting at 6 p.m. and the bidding will start at 6:30 p.m. Many of the items are handcrafted by members of the center’s families and friends. Other items and gift certificates have been donated by local businesses. Adrian Harris is the auctioneer.

Church performers
FARMINGTON — The Eastward Players and Sparrow’s Song Youth Choir will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 6, at Trinity United Methodist Church. The Players consist of approximately 20 young people who will present two one-act comedies appropriate for the whole family. All are welcome.
Evangelical service
STRATTON — Calvary Bible Church invites the public to attend special evangelistic services to be held April 6 to 9. Evangelist Greg Locke is the guest speaker for each service that will also have special music presented and a nursery will be provided.
Services on Sunday, April 6, include 9:45 a.m. Sunday School, 11 a.m. worship and an evening service at 6. Services on Monday, April 7, to Wednesday, April 9, will be held at 7 p.m.
