WEST PARIS — Dr. Kaarina Ham, a missionary for Youth for Christ International, will be at the West Paris Mission Congregational Church at 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 6, to present a report of the work of the mission among the young people of Samara, Russia.

Ham is a longtime missionary who has served in Austria, behind the Iron Curtain when it existed, and in Moscow and Samara, Russia. She has established youth groups and their activities, authorized educational materials, recruited national workers for work among the youth, and studied the Orthodox Russian religion. When she was last on furlough in the United States she earned her doctorate from Fuller Theological Seminary in California. The public is invited.

Clothing center changes hours

HARTFORD — The Hartford Clothing Center on Church Street will be changing its hours of operation on April 19. New hours will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Spring and summer clothing will be available in an abundant supply.

Duplicate bridge group results

PARIS — The Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge group met on March 28 and played with five tables. Carol Curran and Suzanne Dame came in first, Sue Ellis and Don Johnson second, Nancy Farmer and son Mike Newsom third, and Richard Allen and Luke Merry fourth. The group meets at 9 a.m. every Friday in the Community Room at Town and Country Mobile Home Village on Route 26. All bridge players are welcome and a partner is guaranteed.
