WILTON — Members of District 6 of the Maine Federation of Women’s Clubs will hold their spring meeting at the Boiler Room Restaurant on Main Street, Saturday, April 5, beginning at 10 a.m.
Members of the Livermore Falls Women’s Club, Tyngtown, Waterville Women’s Club and Wiltona are being encouraged to attend.
Wiltona co-Presidents Barbara Hathaway and Anne Farary; Livermore Falls Women’s Club President Terry LaPointe and members Muriel Bowerman, Ruth Gammon and Phyllis Anctil; Tyngtown President Marcia Parker and Treasurer Wendy Pomeroy; and Waterville Women’s Club member Gretchen Roy, all helped organize the meeting. These clubs are all instrumental in their communities with volunteering in many areas, a spokeswoman said.
These clubs are also organizers for the Maine Federation’s high school student art contest.
The meeting theme will be “Angels Unaware.” Angel bags have been made, which will be filled with items to help in schools, in nursing homes or for shut-ins.
Maine Federation President Katherine White of Winterport, President-elect Sally Manchester of Limerick and Gloria Leveilee of Limerick, the membership chairwoman, have been invited to attend the spring meeting and speak to members.
The morning will begin with a meeting, followed by a luncheon buffet. The clubs will have raffles, sale items and displays to show what each club has accomplished. Door prizes also will be available.
All members are encouraged to join in a day of fun, fellowship and learning, said a spokeswoman for the clubs. For more information, people can call Hathaway at 645-3449 or Farary at 778-5271.
