NEW YORK (AP) – The Rangers agreed to terms Friday with forward Lucas Lawson, who played four years at the University of Maine.
Lawson, 23, was assigned to Hartford of the AHL. He was second in scoring for Maine this season with 21 goals and 16 assists in 39 games. A member of Hockey East’s second team, Lawson led Hockey East with 17 goals in conference games.
He tied for fifth in the nation with six game-winning goals.
In his college career, Lawson had 50 goals and 43 assists in 145 games.
