LEWISTON — One of the world’s oldest forms of exercise and relaxation will be offered by HealthSteps at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in three eight-week courses.
“An Introduction to Yoga” class will be offered from 6 to 7 p.m. Mondays and 7 to 8 a.m. Tuesdays in the Lepage Conference Room at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. A more advanced yoga class will take place from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. Mondays in the Lepage Conference Room.
Classes will run for eight weeks beginning April 21; however, classes are not scheduled on Memorial Day.
“When we change the way we breathe, our world is transformed,” said yoga instructor, Anne Hastings, who received her training as a yoga instructor at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. “Yoga invites us to enter our bodies with breath and be present to ourselves in a new way.”
Hastings is a certified Kripalu yoga teacher with 10 years of experience in teaching private practice and corporations.
Register early if nterested in the program as the classes fill quickly and registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Call HealthSteps to register at 777-8898 or e-mail at HealthSteps@sochs.com.
