BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) – University of New Hampshire leading scorer Lanny Gare will sit out Thursday night’s semifinal game against Cornell University because of a dislocated shoulder.

Gare, who had 22 goals and 29 assists this season for New Hampshire, suffered the injury in the Wildcats’ 3-0 win over Boston University in the Hockey East championship on March 29.

“I feel for him, he’s a kid who’s done a lot for the program,” New Hampshire coach Richard Umile said.

New Hampshire (27-7-6) is slated to meet Cornell in the Frozen Four semifinal game Thursday.
