I take issue to your “Our View” printed on April 21. Maybe we would have a more representative form of government if more politicians gave their opinions when asked a question. Their opinions, not a political stance representing a party opinion.

If this were the case we could elect and re-elect our representatives based on what they believe and stand for and not be forced to elect spineless parrots of a political party.

Hats off to Tom Shields for stating his views. His views are valuable at election time whether you agree or disagree.
