LEWISTON – Following are recent results in the Elliot Little League:
Senior Division
Travis Dyke knocked in the winning run in the last of the seventh as Rainbow Bicycles nipped Gee & Bee Sports 4-3. Dyle and winning hurler Keenan White collected 2 hits each. Peter Ouellette and Eric Hebert were the leading sticks for Gee & Bee.
Andrew Boulanger and Nathan Gruz combined on a 2-hitter as Pepsi knocked off Portland Bayside 6-2. Johnny Emerson, Shane Morin and Tyler Martin were repeat hitters.
Major Division
Hannaford earned 2 wins, the first 7-6 over Mike Morin Auto Center. Ben Chicoine cracked a game-winning double in extra innings. Pete Blais rapped 3 hits as did winning hurler Dustin Oberlander. Makae Hyde led the Morin offense. . . Josh Pelletier earned the mound win and aided his cause with 3 hits as Hannaford trimmed Dube Flower 13-5. Catcher Calvin Chicoine drilled a key safety and scored twice. Frankie Welch and Scott Ouellette paced Dube.
Falcon Shoe also picked up 2 victories. D.J. St. Pierre was the winning pitcher as Falcon beat Reed Paper 7-4. Jordan Berube and B. Waite were the top hitters. Tony Saucier and Greg Labonte sparked Reed. . . Eric Hall hurled 5 strong innings and ripped a double as Falcon defeated Cross Insurance 7-5. St. Pierre earned a save. Nathan Thistlewaite collected a double and single. Alex and Casey Parker combined for 5 hits for Cross.
Minor Division
Wendy’s was a winner in 2 recent contests. Shawn Handler legged out a triple to lead Wendy’s to a 5-3 triumph over Wal-Mart. He and Matt Poto combined for 12 strikeouts. . . Poto and Jacob Lajoie hooked up for the mound win in a 4-2 victory over Caron Construction. Lajoie and Luke Olehowski were repeat hitters. David Cusson whacked a triple for Caron. Jordan Charest was a repeat hitter.
Bryan Hall clouted a homer and 2 singles to power Lighting Concepts to a 15-13 win over Caron Construction. Jacob Lapierre added 3 hits and Bruce Soper 2. Devin Long gained the pitching win. Colt Steele and Charest both socked 3 hits for Caron.
