Free concert

BERLIN, N.H. – The Northern White Mountain Chamber of Commerce invites the public to a concert by the U.S. Air Force Band from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, at the Berlin High School Gymnasium. The program is free.

VFW dance

BERLIN, N.H. – White Mountain Post 2520, VFW, will host a Flag Day dance Saturday, June 14, at the post home, 1107 Main St. Music will be provided by Soft Touch. Tickets will be $5 a person. Jacobs Scholarship

CONCORD, N.H. – Danielle Fortier of Milan and Lindsey Rothe of Berlin have been selected as the 2003 recipients of the John and Doris Jacobs and Family Scholarships in the Advanced Studies Program at St. Paul’s School.

Fortier will be a student in the biomedical ethics class and Rothe will study introduction to Japanese language and culture this summer. The fund was established by the Jacobs family, who now reside in Norway, Maine, in recognition of the value of the educational opportunity to their four daughters who attended the advanced studies program while students at Berlin High School.

Summer worship

PARIS – The First Baptist Church of Paris will change its Sunday worship service from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. starting June 1. New summer hours will be in effect until Oct. 5. There will be no Sunday school classes during the summer. A potluck lunch will be held at 10:45 a.m. the first Sunday of June, July and August. Everyone is welcome to attend. Bring a salad or dish to share.
