BUCKFIELD – Pitcher Danielle Buswell limited Richmond to one hit, struck out 10 and chipped in offense with three hits to lead Buckfield to an 11-0 shutout over the Bobcats.
The Bucks pounded out 16 hits. Colleen Violette and Charlee Haynes each belted a double.
Casey Hughes had the lone hit for Richmond.
Telstar 13, Boothbay 0
BETHEL – Tiffany Jordan smacked a triple in the second inning en route to four hits and three RBIs to lead Telstar to a 13-0 win over Boothbay in softball action Monday.
Krystle Gould and Lauren Hart hit back to back RBI doubles in the fourth inning for the Rebels (9-1). Kate Swasey and Kara Jacques also chipped in with doubles during the contest.
Freshman Jessie Farrington struck out six batters and gave up only two walks for her first win.
Boothbay (0-10) was led by Alacia Brown’s two hits.
Leavitt 4, Brunswick 0
TURNER – Sam St. Hilaire tossed a two-hitter and struck out 13 batters to spark Leavitt to a 4-0 win over Brunswick Monday afternoon.
Kristen Healy hit a solo homer in the third inning and a double in the first to lead the undefeated Hornets (15-0) to victory. Gretchen Conn and Alanna Leonard each chipped in with doubles.
Karen Kemmerle and Kathy Fallanagan had the only two hits for the Dragons.
Edward Little 3, Sanford 0
SANFORD – Kendra Keene cracked a bases-loaded double in the first inning to do the damage as Edward Little grabbed a 3-0 victory from Sanford in SMAA softball action Monday.
Christie Sasser, who had three hits on the day, led off the game for the Red Eddies (7-5) with a single and scored on Kendra Keene’s double.
Brittany Short tossed eight strikeouts for the two-hit shutout.
Lauren Spiliopoulas took the loss for the Redskins (3-10).
Georges Valley 9, Monmouth 3
MONMOUTH – Elena Berocci pushed Georges Valley ahead with a two-run triple in the fifth inning as the Buccaneers glided to a 9-3 victory over Monmouth in MVC softball action Monday.
The Mustangs (6-4) responded to Georges Valley’s two-run first with three of their own in the bottom of the first, but were held scoreless the rest of the way.
Eddors led to many of the runs for the Buccaneers (9-2).
Katie Simpson had a pair of hits for the Mustangs.
Livermore Falls 4, Jay 2
JAY – An unearned run in the fifth inning gave Jay the lead, but Livermore Falls came back in top of the sixth with three runs to sweep past Jay 4-2 Monday afternoon.
The Andies’ Danielle Gray struck out eight and added an RBI double in the decisive sixth for the Andies (4-7).
Bri Loon of Jay (6-5) struck out 13.
Mt. Abram 6, Dirigo 1
SALEM-Sadie White smashed a homer in the fourth inning to break a 1-1 tie and send Mt. Abram (5-8) to a 6-1 triumph over Dirigo.
Sarah Martin fanned six batters for the Roadrunners (5-8).
Losing pitcher Angie Fenstermacher gave up just three hits.
Mtn. Valley 11, Carrabec 6
RUMFORD – Pitcher Kristin Nicolas knocked in four runs on three hits to carry Mountain Valley to an 11-6 triumph over Carrabec.
Tonya Nicolas had a double and two RBIs, while Felicia Bell had a double. Kayla Stairs contributed two hits and two RBIs.
