MONMOUTH – The annual Memorial Day parade, sponsored by American Legion Post 204, is scheduled to take place in two parts – North Monmouth and Monmouth Center.
The North Monmouth parade will start at 9 a.m. at the North Monmouth Community Church, which is where the American Legion Honor Guard, Firing Squad and other veterans are scheduled to muster. The Legion asks that those who wish to participate in the parade be at the church before 9.
Beginning at the church, the parade will proceed to the North Monmouth Honor Roll for the memorial service, then march back to the church.
The Monmouth Center parade will start at approximately 10. All participants are asked to gather at Cumston Hall. The parade will proceed down Main Street, through the center before turning around and going back to the monument. After the service the parade will return to Cumston Hall.
