WINTHROP – Martha Salois slapped a single into right field to score Nikki Emery, ending a 15-inning standoff and giving Winthrop a 5-4 win over Georges Valley.

Winthrop led off the game with four runs in the bottom of the first and then went dry against Buccaneers’ pitcher Megan Watts until the 15th inning. Katie Wing picked up the win for the Ramblers (7-4), going the distance with one walk and ten strikouts.

Telstar 14, Hall-Dale 2

BETHEL – Jillian Kimball’s three-run double ignited a nine-run first inning as Telstar rolled past Hall-Dale 14-2. Kimball, the freshman pitching sensation, allowed just seven hits in five innings while recording her ninth win of the season.

Lauren Hart went three-for-three for the Rebels (10-1), while Krystle Gould and Jessie Farrington added two hits apiece. .

Monmouth 13,

Livermore Falls 0

LIVERMORE FALLS – Katie Stinson and Emily Gauthier pounded out three-hits apiece to lead Monmouth’s 17-hit attack as the Mustangs beat Livermore Falls, 13-0.

Sarah Bubier, Candace Rioux and Bianca Cloutier added two hits each for the Mustangs (8-3). Gauthier picked up her eighth win of the season on the mound.

Jen Smith had a triple for the Andies (4-8).

Dirigo 13, Wiscasset 5

DIXFIELD – Kayleigh Daley came a home run short of the cycle and Angie Fenstermacher pitched a complete game and also had two hits as Dirigo outmuscled Wiscasset 13-5.

Courtney Derouche added two hits while Ashley Stone roped a triple for the Cougars (9-4).

Jay 10, Mtn. Valley 3

RUMFORD – Jana Fetterhoff’s RBI triple sparked a five-run fourth inning as Jay sailed past Mountain Valley 10-3.

Rachel Gagnon and Alyssa Irish tallied doubles for the Tigers (7-6), while Brie Loon picked up the win.

Jen Kellogg led the Falcons (4-7) with a double, while Kristin Nichols allowed 12 hits while taking the loss.

Bonny Eagle 12, Lewiston 1

LEWISTON – Kelly Johnson belted out a two-run RBI double to propel Bonny Eagle to a 12-1 rout over Lewiston.

Erica Woodsum also tallied a double for the Scots (9-5), while Amber Budzko and Jess Arnold had two hits each. .

A single by Kim Bechard drove the Blue Devils (9-5) lone run across the plate. Amanda Michaud allowed six hits and was credited with the loss.

Leavitt 6, Waterville 0

WATERVILLE – Sam St. Hilaire hurled 15 strikeouts while earning her 13th shutout of the season as Leavitt defeated Waterville 6-0 in KVAC softball action.

Beth Ellis provided offensive support for the Hornets (16-0) a triple, a double and five RBIs.

Mary Bickford led the Purple Panthers (5-11) with two hits, while Kate Trafton allowed seven hits and took the loss.

Mt. Blue 7, Morse 5

FARMINGTON – Dawn Kelley scattered two hits in seven innings to lead Mt. Blue to a 7-5 win over Morse.

Meredith Podgurski provided offensive support for the Cougars (4-12) with an RBI triple, while April Bucheeit added a double.

Sara Clukey led the offensive effort for the Shipbuilders (3-12) with an RBI double, while Chelsey Williams took the loss.

Westbrook 17,

Mtn. Valley 14

RUMFORD – Fallon and Vanessa Jordan combined to score 12 goals to lead Westbrook to a 17-14 win.

The sisters also added three assists for the Blue Blazes (5-6).

Jess Allen led the Falcons (3-7) with six goals, while Sam Johnson added three. Diana Burke made 16 saves for Mountain Valley.
