AUBURN – An Edward Little High School student-athlete is one of several Mainers who have received a $500 scholarship from the Maine Sports Hall of Fame Scholarship Committee. She is Anna Eisenstein.
Others are: Janelle Beaudry, Deering; David Buzanoski, Nokomis; Daniel Campbell, Greenville HS; Andrea Giddings, South Portland; Oriana Farley, Hampden Academy; Crystal Martin, Calais; Blaine Trafton, Morse; Andrew Ward, Cheverus; Neal Waters, Hall-Dale.
Candidates for the scholarships were nominated by athletic directors. The criteria for selection included academics, athletic participation and performance, and leadership.
The Maine Sports Hall of Fame inductions will take place Sunday, June 8 at 7 p.m. at the Bangor Motor Inn Conference Center.
Lewiston Elks pool
LEWISTON – The team of Bob Sherburne-Ray Rancourt took top honors in the Wednesday night Lewiston Elks Pool League. Second was the duo of Jim O’Donnell-Don Burpee, followed by Phil Lebel-Roger McGraw.
