LEWISTON – The new owner of the Fahey-Forrest Funeral Home on Pine Street says he plans minor landscaping and exterior building work at the site.
Guy Dostie, a native of the area, purchased the business early this week from Jack Forrest, who will stay on as a funeral director.
Dostie plans to change the name of the home to Guy B. Dostie Funeral Home.
“I had an opportunity to purchase my own business and I took it,” said Dostie, who worked for 16 years at Pinette Funeral Counselors and Directors in Lewiston.
Although he expects to offer a new discount for veterans and their spouses, the basic format of the Fahey-Forrest operation will remain intact.
Dostie says he has no other expansion plans in the immediate future.
