PARIS – Market Square Health Care Center held its annual Volunteer Breakfast Recognition April 30 when volunteers were recognized for their services and time they provide to the staff and residents.
Guy Pomerleau received the Francis Wyman Award for outstanding volunteer service. He was recognized for his seven years of volunteer service. He volunteers weekly with Bingo, has taken residents out to lunch, and has assisted with many special outings to the Maine Wildlife Park, Songo River Queen trips, Christmas outings, French festival in Lewiston and other events.
A special recognition award was presented to Fred Colby, who leads a Bible study group, does one-on-one visits with residents, and leads some church services when needed.
Volunteers from April 2002 to April 2003 were: Joshua Tracy, Howard Dyer, Guy Pomerleau, Caleb Scribner, Peter Collette, Maxine Deroche, Shirley Gatchell, June Marston, Harold Turner, Nancy and Bill Kerr, Fred Colby, Mary Ackley, Earl and Amy Andrews, Rupali Gaindh, Jessica Masterson, Jen Tracy, Kristi Wadsworth, Molly McGlaughlin and her dog Winnie, Laura Pivin, Franti Giasson, Kate Caddigan, Merrill Kelly, Karcha Turner, Lois Estes, Betty Decoteau, Editha Aldrich, Priscilla Delehanty.
