PARIS – The SAD 17 School Board, Norway-Paris Kiwanis Club and the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School Student Council honored Sharon Castonguay recently at a School Board meeting as the May Staff Member of the Month.
Castonguay, a fourth-grade teacher at Madison Avenue Elementary School, was nominated by her principal, Jane Gaskell.
Gaskell stated that “In addition to her teaching job, Sharon is the school’s technology liaison. Although this part of her job is often challenging, she is enthusiastic and patient when working with staff and students to make sure their laptops are working effectively. In addition, she applies her knowledge from her graduate classes so students in her class get additional instruction above and beyond what the technology curriculum indicates.”
Castonguay received $100 from the student council and her name was added to a plaque sponsored by the Kiwanis Club.
