WALES – Mike Daggett tossed a three-hitter, stiking out six and walking only two as Oak Hill claimed the KVAC Class B baseball title with a 2-0 win over Winslow.
The Raiders got things started in the first when Kyle Harrington was hit by a pitch from Winslow pitcher Jason Carter. Harrington moved to second on an Adam Labbe sacrifice and scored on a Pat Duchette double.
Harrington’s run was all Daggett needed on the afternoon to run his record to 6-1 on the season.
The Black Raiders (10-7) mounted a threat in the fourth inning with runners at the corners with two outs, but Daggett struck out the next hitter on three pitches to end the threat.
Oak Hill, which played error-free defense behind Daggett, added an insurance run in the sixth on Adam Eaton’s RBI double.
Oak Hill enters the Western Class B playoffs as the No. 2 seed behind Gorham.

Kim Denbow and catcher Ali Trafton tried to spark a sixth-inning rally with a single and double, but Maranacook came away with only a pair of runs before the rains washed out its final opportunity.
