WATERFORD – Woodland Rebekah Lodge was host for the recent District 13 meeting at the VFW hall on the Waterford Road.

Guests attending were the president of the Rebekah Assembly of Maine, Pauline Burlock; past presidents of the assembly, Evelyn Gammon, Priscilla Gammon and Jane McCollister. Other guests were Mary Jones, assembly soloist; Arlene Chandler, past noble grand of Colfax Lodge No. 27; Viola McAllister, deputy marshall of District 13; and Cathy Hunnewell, secretary of Fidelity Lodge No. 4.

The meeting was opened by Betty Proctor, noble grand of Woodland Rebekah Lodge, and the District Deputy President Nancy Waisanen.

The address of welcome was given by Nancy Waisanen, noble grand of Mt. Hope No. 58 of Norway. The response followed by Betty Proctor of Woodland.

A memorial service honoring Lawrence A. Tidswell, past grand master of the Grand Lodge of Maine; Ruth D. Rand, past president of the Rebekah Assembly; Ruth Irish, past noble grand; and Frances Hanscom, was conducted by Barbara M. Maxfield, Charlotte Brien, Arleen Wood and Eulallie Kingbury.

Arlene Wood, Jean Holden and Beverly Martin served the potluck supper.
