AUBURN – Nick LeBlanc belted 3 hits as Reed Paper nipped Dead River 7-6 in an 8-inning thriller in the Senior Division. Jacob Marcum and Brandon Elie added 2 hits apiece.
Dave Chesley, Brian Erickson, Tyler Dorris and Tyler Snowe were the hitters for Dead River.
David Lutz hurled a complete game for the win. He struck out 11.
Tourney planned
SACO – The Maremont and Saco Little Leagues have organized the fifth annual Charlie B. Snow Baseball Tournament to be held from July 10-19. The event will bring together 11-12-year-old “B” all-stars as selected by Little Leagues.
Each year for the past four years, 16-20 teams from Southern Maine have competed in this tourney.
