LEWISTON – The Lewiston High School Alumni Foundation, for the fourth year, announces the 10 scholarship recipients of $1,500 each for the class of 2003. To date the Alumni Foundation has awarded 31 scholarships totaling $46,500. This year’s recipients, in alphabetical order, are:
Ethyn N. Brodeau, attending St. Michaels College with an undecided major. The scholarship is in memory of Beulah Carrigan and contributed by Beulah Carrigan Crosby.
David J. Dumais, attending Maine College of Art and majoring in graphic design. The scholarship is in memory of William Carrigan and contributed by Beulah Carrigan Crosby.
Audry A. Faucher, attending the University of Maine in Orono and double majoring in chemistry and history. The scholarship is contributed by and dedicated to “a friend.”
Kristin K. Jacques, attending Boston College and majoring in nursing. The scholarship is contributed by and dedicated to Shaun Butler Harris.
Robert L. Laverdiere, attending the University of Maine in Orono and majoring in administrative management. The scholarship is in memory of Anthony Karahalios and contributed by the Karahalios family and friends.
Sheena N. Marichal, attending Cedar Crest College and majoring in biology. The scholarship is dedicated and contributed by Dr. Louis Talarico II.
Katie A. Morin, attending the University of Maine at Farmington and majoring in secondary education. The scholarship is in memory of Donald Vallee and contributed by Normand Vallee.
Kellie J. Pelletier, attending the University of Maine in Orono and majoring in biology and pre-med. The scholarship is dedicated to James Larouche and contributed by Adam and Sherri Barr.
Hilary J. Poussard, attending the University of Southern Maine and majoring in political science.
Jason N. Roy, attending the New England Institute of Technology and majoring in computer and net servicing.
The ten $1,500 scholarships and limited edition Lewiston High School Alumni sweatshirts were presented by John T. Butler Jr., president of the Alumni Foundation.
