RUMFORD – Oxford County Democrats will meet on Thursday, June 19, at the Eagles Hall. There will be a potluck supper at 5:30, followed by the meeting at 6:30. Those attending are asked to bring a hot dish, salad or dessert to share.
Legislative updates will be given by Sen. Bruce Bryant and Rep. John Patrick. County chairwoman Cathy Newell will report on recent activities of the Democratic State Committee and on plans for summer and fall.
Members of the Rules, Permanent Organization and Platform committees will be elected for the 2004 convention.
The meeting is open to all interested in electing Democrats in 2004. Anyone interested who is unable to attend the meeting can contact Cathy Newell at 875-2116 or cathyn@megalink.net.
