FARMINGTON – “The Choice,” a drama for all ages, will be presented by the New Hope Baptist Church Teen Group at the New Hope Baptist Church, 268 Perham St., at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 12; Friday, June 13; and Sunday, June 15.
The public is invited to the free program
Set in a public high school senior biology class, the play follows the life of a young man who has just lost his father to cancer and now struggles through his last year of school. He faces friends who let him down, a class bully, a stuck-up teacher’s pet and a teacher who wants everything done his way.
With the encouragement of family and a youth leader, the young man makes a choice to do whatever it takes to make a difference at the school.
The play was written and directed by Theresa Bridges. Performers are Ashley Bridges, Dexter “Buzz” Bridges, Theresa Bridges, Shyla Bridges, Tom Charles, Billie Collins, Ryan Decker, Steve Decker Jr., Eric Forbes, Brannen McGraw, Sierra McGraw, Julianna Navarro, Rebecca Peak, Sarah Peak, Elizabeth Rebert, Rebekah Rebert, Max Yates, Katie York and Kayla York.
