AUBURN – The Kora Shrine will hold its annual Summer Ceremonial on Friday through Sunday, June 13 to 15, at Central Maine Technical College and the Auburn Mall.

Throughout the weekend the Shriners will conduct free public events at the Auburn Mall, showcasing their organization and philanthropy: Shriners’ Hospitals for Children.

The Shrine Band will perform a free concert from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at center court in the Auburn Mall. The Kora Medical Unit will also hold a free blood pressure clinic.

Events will move outside the Mall where the various motorized and marching parade units (cycle corps, antique autos and flags units) will be on display from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 14, at the former Porteous end. The public is invited.

The Shrine of North America is an international fraternity of approximately 525,000 members throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada and Panama. The Shrine’s project is Shriners’ Hospitals for Children, a network of 22 hospitals that provide no-cost orthopaedic and burn care for children under 18. Kora is the Southern Maine chapter of the Shrine and is located in Lewiston. The 4,500 members are involved in the Maine Shrine Football Game, the Shrine Circus and various parades throughout the state.
