Carol Thibeault started teaching line dancing in the local area in 1994. She has taught both line dancing and couples country dancing.

In 1966, she formed the dance group, “The Mainely Country Dancers,” made up of students from both the beginners and intermediate classes, who are willing to do dance demos for various public appearances. In the past the group has donated its time to dance for the Moontide Festival, The Relay for Life event, the Fly-in Festival in Livermore falls, the Adult Activity Center, Andover Old Home Days, the Rumford Community Home, Christmas Celebrations and other local events.

Carol’s husband Joe has taken on the duties for both the dance classes and the public dance demos; recently Carol and Joe have made their DJ services available to the general public. This summer they are booked to DJ several weddings and reunions. Dancing is a great activity and fun for all ages!

The line dance classes are available for both children and adults (ages 9 and up). When the interest is there, she also offers couples country-dance class. For more information on any of the dance classes, DJ info, or if you would like us to perform a dance demo for a special event, please call Carol at 364-3243 or e-mail carolthi@ midmaine.com
