On July 4, from 7-9 p.m. the Mexico Fire Department will be going through the crowds gathering for the big fireworks display collecting donations towards the fireworks display & fire equipment for the fire department. Two teams will also be stationed at the entrances of the Information Parking Lot. All donations received will be counted and the Moontide Water Festival will make a donation back to the fire department of 25% of all monies collected that evening. The Mexico Fire Department is trying to purchase a smaller thermal imaging machine as well as other equipment to better serve the public when needed.
Please dig deep into your pockets when you see these firefighters coming your way. They will be wearing their helmets and carrying their boots for you to stuff. Your donations will be greatly appreciated.
