RANGELEY – The Natural Science Program at the Wilhelm Reich Museum will host an Insect Field Trip from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 13, by entomologist Colin Stewart of the University of Maine.
Stewart will help participants identify common Maine insects and learn whether they are harmful or beneficial in gardening and economic terms.
Magnifiers and collection jars as well as several different insect guides will be available or participants may bring their own.
The group also will hike museum trails to collect and identify insects. This workshop is for all ages. There is no charge.
Participants, who are advised to dress for weather and bug conditions, should meet at the ticket office by the observatory.
