LEWISTON – Maine PBS is giving its viewers a chance to make programming decisions on British Comedies Ballot Night, Friday, Aug. 8, starting at 9 p.m.

During British Comedies Ballot Night, one episode each of Mr. Bean, Are You Being Served? and Faulty Towers will be broadcast. Viewers can call and cast their votes for one of the programs. The votes will be tallied and the show with the majority of votes will be added to the Friday night schedule. Callers will also have an opportunity to pledge their support to Maine PBS when they call 1-800-866-1475 to cast their votes.

The current Maine PBS British Comedy line-up begins Fridays at 9 p.m. with Keeping Up Appearances. Then, As Time Goes By at 9:30 p.m., which precedes The Good Neighbors at 10 p.m. One Foot in the Grave rounds out the evening’s programming at 10:30 p.m. The new comedy chosen by Maine PBS viewers on British Comedies Ballot Night will be added to the schedule before the end of the year.
