President Bush, when asked about legalizing gay marriages, had a way of striking the gay community and religious groups with one bullet.
This bullet that spat from his mouth, for gays was “sin.” To the religious group, “I caution those who may try to take the speck out of the neighbor’s eye, when they got a log in their own.” (Aug. 1)
Vatican launches Campaign Against Gay Marriages: “Gay adoptions mean doing violence to these children.”
Talk about a log in their eyes. Bishops/priest have been abusing children for years. I asked all readers to use your God-given brain to decide for yourselves, who indeed has done more harm to innocent children? Time to separate church and state. Bush must leave his Bible behind and start making laws for all people.
Morality, sin, is a religious factor. Equality should reflect the laws of the government.
The sacredness of marriage is dying and should be recycled.
Like Canada, the U.S. government should redefine marriage as a union between two consenting adults, thus eliminating nasty threats to gay couples who simply want equality.
