PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) – Police are investigating the death of a city man following an early morning fight after nightclubs closed.

Edgar Ortega, 24, died Sunday morning after he was attacked by several men on the corner of Richmond and Friendship streets.

Ortega suffered a head injury and died at Rhode Island Hospital.

Police arrested a suspect but as of early Monday afternoon had not identified him or announced charges in the case.
