1916 – 2003

W. STEWARTSTOWN, N.H. – Melanie G. Vallee, 87, passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, at Coos County Nursing Hospital.

Born at Thetford Mines, Quebec, Canada, April 12, 1916, the daughter of Gedeon and Leona Rheaume Vallee, she attended school in Canada.

She moved to the U.S. in 1928, traveling to Lewiston, where she worked many years in textile manufacturing. Upon retirement, she moved to Colebrook, N.H., and for the past 11 years she had been a resident at the Coos County Nursing Hospital.

Survivors include three sisters, Yolande Boutin of Sawyerville, Quebec, Canada, Marie Anna Derocher of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada and Eva Jalbert of Lewiston.
