BOSTON (AP) – A man was sentenced on Tuesday to two years in prison for selling devices that allow people to view satellite television for free

James V. Goggin, 35, of Saugus, pleaded guilty in June to selling devices that allowed users to obtain DirecTV satellite television transmissions without paying for the service.

Goggin, who sold satellite TV receivers, admitted to helping his customers obtain DirecTV without paying for access, and providing them with hardware to help them unscramble the signal.

Goggin was also sentenced to three years probation and ordered to pay a $5,000 fine.
