Casinos don’t gamble. More properly, the people who own and operate casinos do not gamble. They gather money from people who do gamble. Some of the money is given back to the gamblers, haphazardly and irresponsibly. Some of the money is given to the state that provides the support systems the casinos require. The balance goes to the casinos. A casino inevitably creates an aura of its own, but casinos do not gamble.
