It has come to my attention that the national do-not-call list is in question because of the rights of the telemarketers to – get this – freedom of speech.

What about our rights? Don’t we all have the right to privacy, the right to freedom from harassment, and when they call while I’m asleep and wake me up, is that what is called disturbing the peace?

The telemarketers can electronically invade my home, and there is little I can do about it.

Some judge thinks that the telemarketers’ right to free speech is more important than my rights of privacy, or my right to choose if I want to be bothered by these people or not.

It’s not like I can keep my phone off the hook. I have family, and if there’s an emergency I want them to be able to get a hold of me.

I will be calling the police to complain about these endangering calls.
