FARMINGTON – Farmington Police Officer Shane Campbell has been selected as Farmington Police Department Employee of the Quarter for spring 2003. Chief of Police Richard E. Caton III said Campbell was selected for his work as school resource officer at Mount Blue High School and his work on Special Olympics. Campbell’s work in the schools, particularly at Mount Blue High, has been a success, Caton said. When grant funding expired in June, the SAD 9 School Board, faculty and community supported the program by approval for another grant application and support for the program after the grant expires. Campbell’s involvement in Special Olympics included helping organize the area Torch Run and organizing the fund-raising drive at Irvings Big Stop.
