Ward 1 voters have an excellent candidate for the city council in Stavros Mendros.
Mr. Mendros’ service in the Maine Legislature has given him the experience that is needed to keep Lewiston on a fiscally sound course and continue to provide the services that are necessary for our community.
With the uncertainties of property tax relief coming in the future based on referendum questions, it is absolutely necessary that we have people on the city council who will look out for Lewiston taxpayers.
Having served on the Lewiston School Committee, I have known the candidates from Ward 1 at one time or another. It is my opinion that Stavros Mendros is the only candidate who truly will stand with the tax paying citizenry of Lewiston.
