The election has come and gone, and again Maine people have made what one could call a dumb and uneducated voting decision.
Maine voters have thrown away 4,000 or more jobs in Maine. It’s bad enough that the Maine economy is suffering. There have been more jobs and joy leaving this state, and companies are just closing due to our Maine economy and taxes.
Question 3 would have given Maine people jobs and tax revenue. We need that. But we have listened to CasinosNO! on Question 3.
And to have our former governor support the no vote is another joke. What has Angus King really brought to this state beside high property taxes and broken promises.
Our local and state government have not created any new jobs. Our governor has only brought us more red tape and fewer jobs. And they wonder why all our children and families are moving to other states where there are more jobs and fewer taxes.
The people of Maine have blown this one. Big time.
I grant you that a casino may not be the first choice for jobs. But to throw away that option isn’t right. To deny people a chance for jobs is a shame. Shame on you.
