The St. Peters and Sacred Heart School’s 3rd annual Halloween party was held at the Knights of Columbus, Council 106 on East Ave., Sunday October 26. About 200 people from all ages came to the party. Most of the people came in with their favorite Halloween costumes, like princesses’, witches, Disney characters, Spiderman, Frankenstein.

The room was decorated with a whole bunch of spider webs, ghosts and clowns. At the party, there were several games, like tossing a bean bag into a basket, hopscotch and basketball. We also had a jar filled with candy corn, and you had to guess how many candy there was inside.

Teachers, parents and kids all danced to music. They did the chicken dance, the electric slide and the macarena. We held a raffle, and the prizes for this raffle were donated by Modern Woodman of America. Many kids won things like toys, games and paddle ball sets. Everybody who came to the party had a grand time.

I asked students from the sixth grade at the party what they liked about it, and what their favorite part was and why.

Kassandra Bowen said, “It was fun, and my favorite part was doing the macarena.”

Kacie Rioux said, “I had fun because you get to hand out with your friends.”

I saw everyone smiling and just enjoying themselves, so clearly, this night was a great, yet fun night. We enjoyed the party all together as one big family.
