Get ready to hear a lot more from Ryan Seacrest.
Beside his new syndicated weekly radio show and the Fox talent series set to start up again on Jan. 20, the popular “American Idol” host is in the final stages of preparation for the launch of a syndicated TV entertainment-news show, “On-Air With Ryan Seacrest.”
Seacrest has a jammed work schedule that would make most folks’ head spin. Yet, the 28-year-old appears to thrive in the live broadcasting arena.
“You get used to doing things once and then moving on,” said Seacrest. “That doesn’t faze me.”
“On-Air With Ryan Seacrest” will be broadcast live from a studio at Los Angeles’ Hollywood and Highland complex. The hour-long show will blend entertainment news, celebrity interviews and musical guests.
Seacrest also intends to reward fans with giveaways that’ll include visits to movie sets, backstage concert passes and the chance to interview their favorite stars for the show.
“I don’t think there’s anybody better to file a report about someone than a true fan,” said Seacrest. “Much of what we’ll do will be for the fan and about the fan.”
That includes fans of “American Idol,” who’ll get a glimpse of judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul on Seacrest’s show, along with behind-the-scenes footage from auditions, rehearsals and the like, some shot personally by Seacrest.
“It’s not every day that we’ll talk about “American Idol,’ but it’s a relevant pop-culture story and I, fortunately, host the show, so I can bring some things that other outlets just don’t have the opportunity to bring to the table,” Seacrest said.
“And I’m sure Simon won’t be able to stay away because he’ll want to try to steal the spotlight.”
