Lady Hornets bow
WATERVILLE – The Turner-Greene Lady Hornets dropped a 50-40 decision to Waterville in the Central Maine Seventh-Eighth-Grade Girls Travel Basketball League.
Ariane Bowie paced the Hornets with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Morgen Bernier added 8-14. Liz Moreau contributed 8 points, and Ashley Bryant 6. Jess Field had 2 points and 5 rebounds.
Also, 4 members of this team took top honors in the recent Skowhegan Bank 3-on-3 Tournament. The team went unbeaten in 5 games to win the crown, beating teams from Skowhegan and Kennebunk in the finals. Those members were Paige Dyer, Brooke Bernier, Jess Fields and Kelsey Baril.
