Member of the police force each day ride a thin blue line that is getting thinner each day.

Lewiston police were tested on that fine blue line the other day.

All our police officers have families or kids or problems that affect them every day, and they still have to face the public and walk that line.

My respect goes out to anyone in a situation like that.

My hope is that we, as part of this human race, think mercy and justice always should prevail, starting with each individual.
