NEWRY – On Tuesday, Jan. 13, “Mixed Nuts” will feature Jody Scalise and Linda Peck of Double Vision who will perform their collection of riotous routines for families at Sunday River Ski Resort.

This Black Diamond Family Entertainment Series presentation includes a juggling workshop from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. as well as Double Vision’s performance at 7 p.m.

Peck and Scalise are seasoned performers who bring 50 years of theater experience to the stage, from performances and workshops to corporate and television. These two motion artists revive and reinvent the meaning of physical theater, according to a spokesman for the series.

The best part of “Mixed Nuts” is that the unusual becomes usual, the ordinary becomes extraordinary and the unexpected is always expected.

It’s comedy that goes from umbrellas to a hair dryer and from stepladders to a peacock feather.

The juggling workshop and the performance both take place in the Grand Ballroom of the Grand Summit Resort Hotel at Sunday River Ski Resort. Ticket prices include admission for the first forty kids to the juggling workshop.

Advance tickets: $4 for children (ages 6 to 12), $6 for adults; $6 and $8 at the door. Tickets may be purchased on the mountain and at Books & Things in Bethel. For more information, call (207) 824-3575.
