It makes me furious to see that George Bush’s approval ratings have risen since the capture of Saddam Hussein. How can we as a society be so easily duped and manipulated?

Bush is an instrument of the elite, as is his unjustified war. As our troops risk their health, emotional well-being and lives to secure Iraqi oil wealth for U.S. corporations, our brave president is at home gutting the Constitution and turning Medicare and Social Security over to his rich friends. Have you noticed that the shocking loss of jobs is of no concern to this administration? One of the Bush crowd recently described Americans who have so little income they aren’t required to pay taxes as “lucky duckies.”

We would be much better served to direct our praise to presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich, who is the only candidate openly addressing and opposing these frightening trends. Contrast his beliefs with those of George Bush, and also Howard Dean. The media doesn’t want us to know about Kucinich, and certainly he is Bush and Cheney’s worst nightmare.

Kucinich stands above the crowd in integrity. His heart and soul is in rebuilding and restoring America, giving it back to the people, and leading the world in peace, not war. If everyone who tells me they much prefer Kucinich, but consider Dean more electable, would get off the couch and put some effort into democracy, we might actually be able to salvage it before Bush is finished giving it away.
