Have you seen a little tax deduction on your telephone bill for school and library fund?

This tax upsets me as I am already paying real estate taxes and, like everybody else, paying hefty sales taxes of which a portion is allocated for schools and libraries.

I called my local telephone service. They replied to my question that they are mandated by the PUC to add that to our bill. So, I called the PUC and they said that the state is collecting this tax as passed by our Legislature. How about that? It’s pay up or lose your telephone service.
