This is about the article in the Sun Journal on Feb. 3 about how Auburn officials expressed dread over the budget.
Sorry about the problems, but don’t we all have them? So, of course City Manager Pat Finnigan pointed out that the city revenues are limited, their costs are going up and the city needs more revenue or tax money.
Well, hello, what do you think we are?
All the solutions come from the taxpayers and our tax money. Who do we have to turn to? They always stick it to us, especially the seniors on a fixed income.
Where are we supposed to get money for those taxes that keep going up? We have nothing to fall back on, but do they care? Not as long as they have money for their budget.
Someone should wake up and do something for the people who paid taxes for years and years. Put a stop to all this. Let the city go without things like we do.
I’m sick and tired of tax hikes.
