RUMFORD – Jason Anthony, one of the nation’s top wellness speakers, will give a talk at 7 p.m. April 9 at Mountain Valley High School auditorium.
The event is sponsored by the Area Wellness Team whose members represent the SAD 44 Wellness Team, SAD 43 Wellness Team, SAD 21 Wellness Team, Region 9 Wellness Team, Rumford Hospital Wellness Team, Project NOW and River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition. They are working together to bring wellness activities and information to the area.
The show will feature the artistic and motivational talents of The Chalk Guy. Admission will be $5 donation at the door. Advance tickets will be available from wellness team members or by calling 369-1136. Also, tickets will be available at Mills Market in Andover, The Village Store in Bryant Pond, Maine Line Products in Bethel and Locke Mills. Other ticket locations in Rumford, Mexico and Dixfield will be announced soon.
In preparation for the event the wellness team will be selling raffle tickets for variety of raffle items including a gas grill, bicycle and hand crafted jewelry. Drawings will be held Thursday, April 1. For more information contact Judy Powell at 364-3764 or Deb Gorham at 369-1136.
