RUMFORD – The River Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Mexico Fire Department are planning the 2nd annual River Valley 10-town Easter egg hunt for 6 to 9 a.m. Saturday, April 10. Clues will be broadcast on WOXO and baskets can be picked up in the lobby of the Hotel Harris, 25 Hartford St. The committee has planned for 250 eggs to be hidden; 125 hidden outside throughout the River Valley and 125 inside the Mexico Recreational Center for children up to age 6 beginning at 9 a.m. Individuals, businesses or organizations are needed as sponsors at the cost of $10 per egg. Relay leaders

RUMFORD – The American Cancer Society has selected Peggy Brigette to serve as honorary chair for this year’s Relay For Life of Northern Oxford County.

Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s national signature event and is as much an awareness raiser as it is a fund-raiser. Businesses, civic clubs, churches, friends, and families take turns walking while celebrating the role the American Cancer Society plays in the fight against cancer.
