LEWISTON – Announcement is made of the engagement of Gretchen LaPointe and Nicholas Lagassee. Both reside and are employed in the Lewiston area.

The future bride is the daughter of Vivian LaPointe of Berlin, N.H., and the late Joseph LaPointe Jr. She is a graduate of Lewiston High School.

The future bridegroom is the son of Janet Laird-Lagassee and Arthur Lagassee, both of Auburn. He is a graduate of Dexter High School.

The wedding will be held on Sept. 26 at the Laird residence in Auburn, with a reception to follow at Lost Valley Lodge.
