BETHEL – Selectmen will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, at the town office. An executive session is likely, Town Manager Scott Cole said. The board will meet with town attorney Anne Carney to discuss ongoing litigation between former Police Chief Darren Tripp and the town.

Mothers’ dinner

RUMFORD – SeniorsPlus dining site at 50 Congress St. will hold a Mother’s Day dinner at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. The menu will be roast pork, duchess potatoes, hubbard squash, apple bread, cole slaw, fruit crisp a la mode and coffee, tea or milk. RUMFORD – There will be a special bingo at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Rumford Senior Citizen Center, 50 Congress St. Proceeds to go to Oxford County Trial Fryeburg Fair Grounds.

BETHEL – The golf course at The Bethel Inn and Country Club has opened for the summer season and offers free golf to residents Tuesdays during May. Residents of SADs 17, 43, 44 and 52 are eligible. Cart rental, tee times and proof of residency are required.
