Isn’t it amazing that two years after the Sept. 11 attacks that the commission investigating the attacks is now placing blame on the very people who risked their lives being involved in the rescue attempts? Those brave men and women risked their own lives and lost their own lives to help others.
It makes me sick to my stomach to hear the investigating committee claim that rivalries between police and fire departments hurt the rescue efforts. Do the committee members really expect us to believe that when all hell broke loose in New York City that the police and fire departments were thinking about who they didn’t like? Give me a break.
Let’s focus on the real reasons, such as al-Qaida or Osama bin Laden.
How can anyone expect our nation to heal, and the families who lost loved ones to make peace, with all the mudslinging?
What’s next? Maybe it’s the Wright brothers’ fault for inventing the airplane. Let’s investigate that.
